The Path
Bible Operator was established by an Army combat veteran on a quest for purpose in the life that God had restored to him. This started back on the morning of the day he decided to end his own life in 2013 via starvation in the woods behind a mega church in Alabama so that he could at least attend services on the Sundays he was still alive. There were no small groups going on, no connections, no resources, and no hope. Anyone who talked to him leading up to that day would just say, "I'll be praying for you" How kind of them.
Last Resort
Honestly, no one cared, and he was in a dark place following the death of his son, the abandonment of his then wife. Even his own "family" (adoptive) down the road were so religious they never once reached out because his misery was viewed as "God's judgement on him", despite having been baptized a year before his honorable discharge from the Army- fully on FIRE for God. He left the Army because he couldn't live the life he had lived earlier surrounded by the culture of combat forces. He figured, "Well God, you'll either save my life, or I'm dying right here in the woods of this church I know is blessed by you". That year ended up being the most terrible, and blessed years of his life.
Following a dream the morning of his planned suicide was set to begin in the woods behind his church, everything changed.
The Dream
"Jesus showed up and we had a conversation. I couldn't believe it. I remember thinking, Do you know who I am? Like he made a mistake or something. I remember feeling an indescribable rush, like adrenaline in combat, only with love. It was crushingly gentle, and overwhelmingly powerful. It was like the weight of a galaxy within the commanding presence of peace. I saw the dust on his feet like I knew he had traveled to me, and he asked for my hands, and looked them over as I waited in anticipation. He talked to me and showed me an incredible image of a black war helmet in a desolate place. The red feathers at the top frayed from battle. He said, "You are used to seeing red feathers, instead you will see blue feathers". We talked. At the end of our conversation, he told me that I was "about to be blessed", then grinned at me as I was thinking "are you sure", and he said, "trust me, you're about to be blessed" as I opened my eyes from the dream. The fact that I immediately was overtaken by emotion, and filled with power, and joy; Not a fear or worry in my soul. In an instant, all darkness, dispair, hopelessness, guilt, shame- It was gone! I had no intention of dying, because I knew what I had just seen and heard, and I believed it. I felt it. I had hope. I knew I was loved beyond what I could ever truly comprehend."
Acting on Faith
He drove to Texas with his last tank of gas in a wanted for repo car not knowing a soul on December 13, 2013. He had nothing, and knew no one. He showed up and God provided for him every step of the way. He even ended up on the Trinity Broadcasting Network on the primetime show "Praise The Lord" 10 days after praying, asking if God might want him to tell someone what he had witnessed. Ten. Days. Later.
The Restoration
He began dating his future wife, who instructed him to turn in his medical paperwork to the VA, and wouldn't you know it, he was rated as a 100% permanently disabled veteran (with backpay) for surviving over 50 IED attacks in Al Anbar province's Camp Habaniyah, and Ramadi in the Sunni Triangle, as well as action in Baghdad's Dora district. All the while God rescuing him time and again. Christopher is now married to his wife going on 10 years, with a beautiful 8 year old son, and they live in East Texas.
Purpose in action
After a decade of searching and two years of prayer, Bible Operator was officially launched on January 1, 2023. Recognizing the need within the Christian Military Men's community, he made the decision to create a platform/app and network that would foster a continuous sense of community and connection among fellow military and veteran bible believing warriors anywhere on the planet with an internet connection. He firmly believes this to be God's calling on him, marking the start of a spiritual reawakening among our military men and offering a solution to the issue of suicide among our nation's soldiers, by entrusting God to bring strength and support to our warriors through Godly relationships, and community within the Church.
The result God planned beforehand
(After the airing of the show "Praise The Lord" in July 2014 on TBN, an old Vietnam veteran emailed saying he had been randomly watching and related to Christopher's story. The veteran admitted to substance abuse and shared his own story, only to add that he'd never connected to "Church Folks" until that show. He expressed his desire for a relationship with God, but didn't know how to ask for it. He was led in prayer to a relationship with God over an email! If the culmination of your life after your own salvation means the grand sum total of leading one person into relationship, and eternity with God, then it would have all been worth it. )
